After Stockholm is Tallinn, the medieval capital of Estonia. Stroll
its winding cobbled streets and witness a unique blend of architecture,
including the spectacular domes of the Nevski Russian Orthodox Cathedral
and the baroque Toompea Castle. St. Petersburg is the jewel of the
Baltic crown. With two days in port here you will be able to discover
many of its treasures for yourself. Along the broad banks of the
River Neva, you'll find magnificent palaces and churches. The highlight
is the famous Hermitage Museum, filled with great and important
works of art.
Leaving Russia you reach the shores of Finland. Pocket-sized Helsinki
exudes a nautical atmosphere. Its historical centre is ideal for
exploring on foot and in the spring and summer months many cultural
events take place. From here you sail on to 'wonderful, wonderful'
Copenhagen. Wander by the shops and cafés of Strognet or visit magical
Tivoli Gardens.
Oslo is your final port before Azura heads back to Southampton.
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and rolling hills you'll discover
ancient castles, 18th century frescoed houses, vast parks and glittering
lakes.
